Police in North Wales have arrested four people in connection with drink and drug driving offences.

All four were taken into custody yesterday after being picked up by officers in the Denbighshire and Conwy areas.

Three of them were arrested for drug driving having tested positive at the roadside for either cannabis or cocaine. One person tested positive for both.

Police said they now face an anxious wait for blood results.

They added: “One also arrested for drink driving after two separate concerns raised for a vehicle travelling all over the road.

“All these despite essential travel only being allowed. Our patrols will continue throughout North Wales.”
