Police are appealing for information after a driver’s windscreen was smashed by a rock thrown from a bridge by youths.

The car was being driven in the Minffordd area last Monday (November 22, 2021) at around 8pm when it was targeted.

The youths were standing on one of the bridges between the quarry and the roundabout on the A487 bypass at Porthmadog when the rock was thrown.

Officers said it smashed the car’s windscreen, causing the driver to swerve into the opposite land, and are calling for anyone with information to contact them.

North Wales Police said: “If you have any information that will help our officers please visit our website or call 101 and quote incident reference number – (21000811486).”
