A driver has been arrested after crashing his car this morning following a lengthy police chase.

At approximately 9.55am today a red Volkswagen Golf estate was reported to police as driving dangerously on the A55.

When officers from the roads policing unit attempted to stop the vehicle, this led to a pursuit on the dual carriageway where the driver failed to stop for some time.

The individual attempted to negotiate a right hand bend and failed to do so – resulting in it coming to rest in a ditch on Gors Road, Towyn.

The driver has been arrested for various driving offences.
