Plans have been submitted for a “high-end” glamping site near Llanrwst.

The pitch at Bryn Esgob, on Bryn y Fawnog to Bron Haul, Nebo, is on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and would be for eight of the luxury units.

Each would have LED lights and 12v electricity supplies powered by batteries, in turn fed by solar panels.

There would be provision for making tea and coffee in each unit – and the option of having a continental breakfast – but the pods would not be equipped with cooking facilities.

Toilet and shower facilities would be built at the entrance to the site, according to the application and supporting documents. On site waste would be channelled to a nearby septic tank.

Four-wheel trolleys will be supplied to campers so they can transfer luggage from a proposed hardcore car park to each pod.

The applicants want to build in two phases, with four of the luxury glamping pods built first, followed by the remaining four.
