A World Cup fan zone is being set up in Colwyn Bay for Wales’ vital game against England.

Parc Eirias will host the family-friendly zone where people can enjoy the match on a big screen and celebrate as one on Tuesday, 29 November.

Organisers Conwy County Borough Council have said there will be no need to brave the November weather, as the fan zone will be located within The Barn, an indoor venue at the stadium.

The council said: “Gates will open at 5pm so you can enjoy the pre-match atmosphere.

“There’ll be a variety of food available to purchase and a licenced bar.

“To keep the kids entertained we’ll have free football kickabout sessions provided by qualified coaches.

“It’s going to be a family-friendly zone for all ages to experience the atmosphere. In addition to the big screen in the barn we will also have a quiet zone in the smaller Conwy Suite where we’ll also be screening the match.”

Kick-off is at 7pm and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Free tickets for the event are available from the Venue Cymru Box Office or by calling 01492 872000.
