Two men have been arrested after the Rhyl Neighbourhood Policing team executed a drugs warrant on Crescent Road in Rhyl.

As a result of the warrant officers discovered large scale grow with over 300 cannabis plants in various stages of growth.

Both men who are aged 21 and 22 have since been given conditional bail while enquiries continue.

Sgt 1954 Llyr Hughes said: “Even in these very difficult times your local Neighbourhood Policing team are tackling those who continue to commit crime in the community.

“Properties in all areas can be targeted by criminals to utilise the buildings for the production of cannabis.

“I would like to thank and praise members of the public who have provided the information required for us to take this positive action. Without their help it is so much harder for us to target the organised criminals.

“I cannot stress enough the importance of community intelligence, whether that’s passed to us directly or anonymously via Crimestoppers.”

If you have any suspicions that a property is being used in such a manner, even if it is a property you own, please contact North Wales Police on 101.
