Appointments at a North Wales vaccination centre have had to be cancelled today after a water leak caused significant damage to the building.

The local vaccination centre at Kinmel Bay Community Resource Centre was hit by the damage.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board said it would be contacting people affected for them to rebook their appointment for the Covid jab at the Llandudno Mass Vaccination Centre instead.

It said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to cancel all COVID-19 vaccination appointments today (11 June 2021) at the Local Vaccination Centre in Kinmel Bay.

“This is due to a leak that has caused significant water damage to the building.

“We are in the process of contacting people to rebook their vaccination appointments and will be rearranging them to the Llandundo Mass Vaccination Centre on a temporary basis.

“We hope to have sessions up and running again at the Local Vaccination Centre in Kinmel Bay early next week. We apologise for any inconvenience.”
